with love...
a piece of a new painting

There is this really important thing to recall as we journey along our path and it is this...
Do not let hardship harden your heart.
Instead walk on the path where the light hits, dance through the shadows when you have no other choice.
If you must look back, do it with fondness, kindness and do not judge it with the knowledge of the present, in retrospect we could all do everything better.
If you must look back then make it nothing more than a glance, anything longer than that will become a noose around your neck and it will leave your arms so full of yesterday that you will not be able to embrace today and we all know that today is all that really matters.
Hug everyone you come across, if not with your arms, then with your words, if not with words then with your smile....it doesn't matter how you do it, just circle them with love and leave them better for having crossed your path.
Should you hear a sigh drifting along on the wind, then capture it and whisper to it of hope and send it back to where it came from.
When someone takes their words and twists and turns them until they form arrows that they send in your direction, reach out with your heart and turn the arrows into roses and hand them back to them with a smile.
Love is magic.
Love lifts you higher than the slings and arrows of life, it is the scent of the heavens carried on the breeze of always.
Spread some today.

Sending hugs your way, SweetMango. Doing my bit to spread the love.
The painting is beautiful.
The other is always the choice, i guess and it is always best to go the soft way - peace to you!

keep blogging!
so beautiful - sending you hugs across the ocean.
My grandmother's name was Tara - she was as beautiful as your painting.
Oh De-Lovely. And so true. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Interestingly, the problem began when I had my Daddy living with me on Hospice, so I am sure there is a lot of truth in what you said. I am done pouting and am now stocking up on leggins...something a little sheer to go with my orthopedic swimsuit. **blows kisses** Deb
As I venture farther into the adventure that is my life, I find being prepared to answer life's questions for those I've brought into the world more difficult. There lives are forever changing at a rate faster than ours did at their age and even faster than ours are changing, presently in theirs. It is needless to say whether you understand the last line or not, the point to be made herein lies within where my teaching will end and where it begins again, and then after I had thought there was nothing more I could say or set an example for.
I can't drag my kids to church to listen to Gospel, because in fact I would have to drag them. As I worked in a bicycle shop in the 1970's every time I entered through the glass door of the store portal my hand would press against the handle and a sticker on the glass just above my hand read Spread the Word. I would ask "so whats the word", and my boss would answer, "the word is the Bible". What the sticker meant and what he meant, was the word is the Gospel. According to...
If I don't tell my daughter she is reading the Gospel, she won't know it is Gospel. I have given her writings that she understands and believes in and I can see in her heart the love she has within her, that others are doubting. At times She is not the most forgiving child.
With words such as yours, if I print them, I believe in them as if they were today's Gospel according to Sweetmango( not a very John, Luke, or Mark name ), but Christian or not, Krishna, Hindu, Buddhist or not, they are words that will reach my daughter's understanding, and remind her, she also is on a path.
She knows how to Love and she knows what decisions to make that are correct for her, and which ones may lead to dismay.
So thank you SweetMango, and if you don't mind, I'll be printing this blog post out with the best of intentions, never leaving a crumb or a trail from where it came, other than XXSM, right back at ya.
Ohmigoodness girrrl this is so ~Beautiful~ my Heart could hardly bear it... You are a jewel, a precious, gorgeous, sacred jewel <3
love this! I'm posting it on my FB page....especially love "If you must look back then make it nothing more than a glance, anything longer than that will become a noose around your neck..."
to be frank, I've been kicked in the heart by people in the yoga world (two studio owners) and I carried that rage around for a long time...until I learned to let it go. what you say is so true!
can't wait to put your Buddha in my yoga room!
hugs from the American Midwest...
metta!
Wonderful painting you did.
Yes, letting go is very hard at times but it has to be done. It is also very difficult to return venom fired at you into roses and kindness but it would build character. Hope lots of love and good vibes come your way.
This was beautifully written. Your approach to life and words is very encouraging. Thanks for sharing.
:)
Eddie.
